Delete your OriaNest account
You can delete your account and its data at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. You don't need the app installed to make the request.
Deleting is not the same as deactivating
Hides your profile
Your posts and profile stop appearing to other members. Nothing is erased, and signing back in restores everything.
Removes your account
Your account and the content tied to it are permanently erased after the 30-day deletion window. This cannot be undone once that window closes.
Two ways to request deletion
In the app
If you can still sign in, this is the fastest route.
By email
If you've uninstalled OriaNest, lost access to your account, or would simply rather not do it in the app, write to us from the email address on the account:
privacy@orianest.appInclude the handle on the account so we can find it. We'll confirm by reply before anything is erased, and the same 30-day window applies from the day we confirm.
What happens, and when
You confirm the request
Your account is closed immediately. Your profile, posts and messages stop being visible to other members straight away.
A window to change your mind
Signing back in during this period cancels the deletion and restores your account exactly as it was. Nothing has been erased yet.
Permanent erasure
Once the 30 days have passed, an automated job removes the account and its data. From that point it cannot be restored, and we can no longer retrieve anything from it.
What is removed, and what is kept
Erased
- Your profile, handle and profile photo
- Posts, comments and polls you created
- Photos and videos you uploaded
- Likes, saves and reposts
- Follows, in both directions
- Group memberships and join requests
- Direct messages you sent
- Event RSVPs and Nest participation
- Your stored location
- Notifications and app activity
Kept
- Content other members independently screenshotted, copied or quoted, which sits outside your account and is beyond our reach
- Safety and moderation records, kept for a limited period to protect the community — with the link to your account removed
- Records we are required to keep by law, or need in order to resolve a dispute, for as long as that applies
Subscriptions. If you ever subscribe through Apple or Google, deleting your OriaNest account does not cancel that subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Play Store separately.
